BUSINESS PROVERB
Do you relate instrutions and directives to staff clearly and completely?
Moses stated, "...You shall not add to the word which I am commanding you, nor take away from it" (Deuteronomy 4:2 NASB).
At times, we may want to soften a directive to protect staff from what we believe are harsh words. We use that as an excuse for not dealing with a key issue.
Instead of helping, we make the situation worse. If management has said a plant will close unless efficiency is increased 20%, don't mince words.
Be direct and honest.
Then everyone knows the score- and each team member can do their part to reach the required goal.
Honesty will preserve jobs.
